Dr. Thamarai Ayyanesh
About Thamarai Ayyanesh
( MASLP & BASLP)
Thamarai Ayyanesh is a founder of Auspicia Speech and Swallowing Clinic. She has completed Bachelor’s and Master’s in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune. Awarded as Best Clinicians for consecutive 3yrs during her education. Conducted and part of many awareness, early identification and intervention program.
Certified in:
1. Oral placement therapy Level 1.
2. Certified in doing Fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) foundation course by Dr Susan Langmore, USA.
3. Certified and trained in Post Laryngectomy rehabilitation course from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India
4. Completed two weeks of clinical observership in Tata memorial hospital for Speech and Swallowing rehabilitation in Head and Neck Cancer.
She has working experience 7-8 yrs in the field of speech and swallowing therapy with diverse clinical population.
1. Worked in Institute for psychological Health, Thane
2. Bhatia Hospital, Tardeo
3. Jupiter Hospital, Thane (Neuro-Rehabilitaion department for 5years). Worked with dynamic team of professionals including Physiotherapist, Occupational therapist and Psychologist.
-Conducted lectures on fitting speaking valve for Tracheostomized patients to nursing team leaders.
-Conducted Dysphagia awareness and screening protocol lecture for Resident Medical Officer.
-Was a Speech and Swallowing Faculty in AIOTA for Occupational Therapist (fellowship students) in Advance Neurorehab service in Jupiter hospital.
-Delivered lecture on Role of speech and swallowing therapy for Parkinson patients to Consultant, Parkinson patients and their relatives, and was a faculty team member in conducting Music therapy for Parkinson patients headed by Dr. V T Ingalhalikar in Jupiter hospital.
She is a Rehabilitation council of India (RCI) licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Member of Indian Speech and Hearing Association (ISHA) and MISHA (Maharashtra branch). Member of Society for Feeding and Swallowing disorders (SFSD India). Member of Telangana Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist Association (TASLPA). She has also participated as one of the audiologist in Guinness World Record in October 2018 where “Most people fitted with hearing aids in 8 hours”.
